Discover Sikkim: The Hidden Gem of the Eastern Himalayas

Nestled in the lap of the Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is one of India’s most enchanting and pristine states, offering a harmonious blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and spiritual serenity. From snow-capped peaks and lush valleys to tranquil monasteries and thrilling adventure spots, Sikkim promises a soul-stirring experience for every kind of traveler.

Sikkim is a paradise for nature lovers, trekkers, spiritual seekers, and cultural explorers. It is home to Mount Kanchenjunga—India’s highest peak and the world’s third-highest. Dotted with colorful prayer flags, peaceful Buddhist monasteries, and breathtaking landscapes, Sikkim offers an experience that is as peaceful as it is adventurous.

Climate & Weather:

Sikkim enjoys a varied climate due to its diverse altitude range:

Summer (April to June): Pleasant with temperatures ranging between 15°C to 25°C—ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

Monsoon (July to September): Lush and green, though landslides and roadblocks can occur. Travel is less recommended.

Autumn (October to November): Crisp air and clear skies make it a perfect time for photography and trekking.

Winter (December to February): Cold, especially in North Sikkim; temperatures can drop below zero, and snowfall is common in higher altitudes.

The Maruni Dance is recognized as the oldest dance in Sikkim and is performed by the Nepalis.

Spectacular Mask Dances, known as Chaams, are performed during special ceremonies and festivals, brilliantly depicting the triumph of good over evil.
